Design Collaborative was also engaged by Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council (DLALC) to assist in the establishment of a sandstone extraction mine located at Wiseman’s Ferry Road in Maroota. The project covers approximately 50 hectares of land for the extraction, processing and delivery of up to 500,000 tonnes of sand each year. It is estimated to deliver this amount for up to 28 years to meet increasing market demands from Sydney’s construction and building markets. For this State Significant Development Project, on behalf of DLALC, Design Collaborative managed all consultants and carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment and lodged an application for development consent for this project.
